VAs and YOUR 4 hour work-week

You've likely read the 4 Hour Work-Week by Tim Ferris.  It's genius.  He makes it seem super simple to work 4 hours/week while making millions.  It's not simple. But it IS possible. I've been doing it for about 18 years.  I don't work 4 hours/week (I've been there, it's not enough to keep me busy) but I work about 15 hours week. Here's how. 1. Every business decision is based on "Who has to do the work here?  Me?  Or can someone else do it?"  If it's me, we don't pursue it.  If someone else could do it, I'm on board. And frankly, to me the decision is always "Can someone in the Philippines do this?"  So far, the answer is always YES.  2. Hire a VA. You can't delegate until you have someone to delegate to.  You have to hire someone. I know...it's a risk.  I'll make this super easy...keep reading. 3. Delegate. Start with something you know how to do. Get it off your plate.  I understand this is backward from what most gurus teach.  "Stick with what you're good at and outsource the rest." Terrible advice! Delegate what you're good at. Become the CEO.  If you hold on to what you're good at (social media, calling customers, giving quotes, building product...) you never become the CEO! You just build yourself a job. 4. Repeat.  The first VA I hired didn't cut my workload down.  But it showed me what was possible. The risk paid off. The second VA I hired (I mean...should you really call a high level programmer a "VA"???) did cut my workload down.  Not a ton...but a little. The third, a little more. 5. Build a team This isn't hiring a freelancer.  It's not Upwork.  It's not "get something done that you don't know how to do so you can keep focusing on working IN your business." This is building a team around you.   A TEAM is how you get to the 4 hour work week. A team of capable, talented, affordable, honest, hard working people.  Want me to do it for you?
