My previous email talked about the first 2 lessons I learned after hiring a VA that I wish I knew before:

Here are #3 and #4 that I wish I knew:
#3 - Can you find talented people who can actually do good work
I waited 2 months before hiring someone because of this.
I just thought a VA was a data entry person. Or...someone who could only follow basic instructions.
Wrong.
- I have a programmer I'd say is one of the best in the world.
- I have a google ads person who is as good as anyone.
- I have a content writer who is so good that every time I read something from her I'm shocked at how good with words she is.
- I have 3 project managers who are really good at keeping things on track.
- I have a video editor who consistently amazes me with his edits.
The Philippines has over 100,000,000 people. They're a highly educated middle and upper class society.
OnlineJobs.ph has over 5,000,000 Filipino profiles.
You can find someone talented at almost any skill imaginable.
And, with our AI talent scout, it's so easy to find them.
#4 - Wages
How much does a VA cost?
Short answer: $4 - $7/hour
Longer answer: On the lower end you have beginners in the $3-$5/hour range.
Mid range, $4-$6/hour.
Upper end, $7+/hour.
Salaried full-time these numbers are roughly $450/month - $1500/month.
You can pay people
- hourly
- per project
- part-time
- full-time
...however you want...except not 100% commission (we don't allow that because it attracts scammy employers).
If you only have 4 hours/week of work, you can find someone to do that.
If you have 50 hours/week of work, you can find someone to do that.
If you have work every 3 weeks, you can find someone to do that.
Everything is flexible. There are no rules. No contracts.
I just find that right now, $4 - $7/hour is about the right wage.
